Union Recognition Agreements Signed

We are pleased to confirm that the University of Wolverhampton  has formally signed new union recognition & procedural agreements, and facilities agreements.

The signing took place on 4 February 2026, marking the conclusion of several years of collaborative work to update these important agreements and strengthening our relationships with our recognised trade unions.

The agreements were signed by:

• Jim Price, West Midlands Regional Officer, UNISON
• Paul Barrow, Wolverhampton UCU Branch Chair
• Ebrahim Aida, Vice Chancellor on behalf of the University

This milestone reflects the shared commitment of all parties to constructive engagement, open dialogue and ongoing collaboration in support of our staff community.
