British Sign Language (BSL) Taster Session (For all UNISON members)

Learn how to create welcoming, accessible, and inclusive interactions with Deaf BSL users. This session supports you to gain knowledge, skills and confidence to have a basic conversation with a deaf BSL user both in and outside of work. Content includes:

1. Who uses British Sign Language (BSL)?
2. Fingerspelling alphabet
3. What is British Sign Language?
4. Meet and Greet Signs
5. Question Signs
6. Days and Month signs
7. Resources and working with interpreters
8. Summary and signposting

This course is FREE for all UNISON members.
