This new session is designed to give all UNISON representatives the knowledge, confidence and skills required to write effective motions. It will be delivered jointly by a Regional Officer and the West Midlands representative on the National Stading Orders Committee in order to give a broad perspective on UNISON rules on motions and structures of the union.
The workshop will cover:
- An understanding of what a motion is and what they are used for
- How to write a competent motion
- Understand roles in policy making of the union, using democratic structures
- Avoid common pitfalls that could result in a motion being ruled out of order.
Please note that there is a £7.50 per head branch charge for this course.
