SUMMARY:TUC Reps Stage 1 ONLINE (For Workplace Stewards)
DESCRIPTION:10am-12pm for 10 Wednesday Mornings ONLINE

This 10 week course will provide an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to represent members effectively and strengthen union organisation.

In addition to the once a week 2 hour online sessions, you should expect to be doing an extra 3 hours of coursework a week. You are entitled to request this time off from your employer to complete the work. If you need assistance with arranging time off from your employer please contact your UNISON branch.

Even though the course is online, we expect the same commitment as attending a face-to-face course. 

You will need to attend at least 7/10 online sessions to get ERA certification.

The course will include sessions on communications, collective bargaining, union organisation and recruitment, health and safety, equalities, campaigning, and how to represent members in grievance and disciplinary cases. On completion of this course stewards will receive a nationally recognised TUC certificate.

Please note there will be a break w/c 16 February for half term.
