This course will take place FACE TO FACE at UNISON West Midlands Regional Centre.

This two day course looks at all the major areas of contention in regards to capability. It examines the legal framework which defines capability and looks at how this is different from misconduct. The course activities are bases on providing the maximum practice of identifying and dealing with capability cases. The course also briefly touches on disability discrimination, appraisals, ill health and sickness absence. This is an ideal course for ERA stewards and branch officers who have to deal with challenging cases.

Stewards will need to have completed the Handling Grievance and Disciplinary Casework course before applying for this course.

Please note there is a £30 per head branch fee for this course
