For many women, menopause can feel stressful in itself. Managing changes to our body, navigating relationships at home and in work and facing the challenges of modern living can all be more challenging at this time in our lives, with fluctuating hormone levels during perimenopause and menopause affecting the way we respond to stress both physically and emotionally.

The course content:

  • Defining the Perimenopause
  • Defining the Menopause
  • Defining stress and its effects on the body
  • Why is the Menopause stressful?
  • Can extreme stress or trauma affect the menopause?
  • Impact of stress on Menopause, including hot flushes, sleep problems, mood swings, weight gain, digestive problems, anxiety and stress incontinence
  • Coping strategies
  • Mindful living through menopause
