As a union representative you will be dealing with lots of workplace issues and cases that can be stressful and pressurized. Due to the busy nature of the representative role, you often don’t have much time to reflect on your own wellbeing. It is important to maintain good mental wellbeing so you can effectively help support the members you represent. This course will assist you in your role by introducing you to some tools and resources that can help support you, other union reps and the workers you represent.

Course objectives: at the end of the session you will be able to:

  • Understand factors that affect representatives wellbeing
  • Use the stress container model
  • Identify ways to support your mental health during industrial action
  • Consider practical steps to support representatives wellbeing
  • Support the wellbeing of other representatives and members.

Please note there is a £15 per head branch charge for this course
